Happy birthday, Alison!

This is for my special, wonderful daughteru who I wouldn’t know how to live without.
(She doesn’t use Tumblr much, but I thought I’d post this here anyway because why the fuck not?)

I’m sorry I didn’t get you anything material for your birthday, or write you anything like I usually do…I was contemplating writing a letter about how much I love you but I’m not good at conveying my own feelings through words.
So instead you get a rubbish edit of Sebastian…sorry. 

But in the 8-ish years I’ve known you, you’ve lit up my life!  You’re my best friend forever; I can tell you anything and you won’t judge me, I can laugh or cry or rant or rave or sing to you and you don’t tell me to shut up.  You were the first person to really accept me for who I am, and that meant a lot to me.

Even though you live kinda far away now, you always make time to come visit me (since I’m a big wuss and won’t get the train to you), and you never seem to mind that I always have a new anime for us to marathon LOL.

Basically: thank you for putting up with me.  I love you.  Never change, because you’re perfect.<3

So my flatmate recently told me that her and her other half are planning to move out…and this kinda leaves me in a bit of a pickle as I can’t afford to pay the rent for this place by myself, and as they’re looking for a flat at the same time it might cause an issue if we both end up wanting the same place…Any help guys D:

Right, so yesterday I had an informal interview, and I thought I was pretty much set for getting the job. Guy said he would call me to let me know either that night or this morning. No phone call. So, me being the enthusiastic person I am, take a trip down to the shop to find out whats happening. I didn’t get the job. Out of 5 people, the manager narrowed it down to 2. Me, and this other girl. Who gets the job? Not me. Why? Cause I don’t have any “experience”. Well i’m sorry, were my 3 years of volunteering not enough? Or the fact that I go into the shop most days I can. Or the fact I do odd jobs in the shop anyway. How the hell am I meant to get a job when they all ask for previous experience and I’ve not had a job! It’s just leading me in circles as I cant get experience till someone hires me, and no one will as I’ve no experience! Rant over, gonna watch Watership Down with a pot of tea and have a good cry.
